PEAR-GINGER
CHUTNEY
MAKES 4 SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
1 can (15 ounces)
Bartlett pear halves or slices in juice
2 cloves garlic,
minced
1 tablespoon
ginger root, minced
1/4 cup white
wine vinegar
3 tablespoons
sugar
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1/4 teaspoon
ground cumin
METHOD
Drain and dice pears
reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Combine pears, liquid and remaining ingredients
in a small saucepan and simmer gently for 20 minutes. Serve over pork
or chicken.
