PEAR-CHOCOLATE CHIP SNACK SQUARES
Yield: 54 Servings

INGREDIENTS

4 oz. (1/2 cup) Butter or margarine
1 lb. (2 cups) Brown sugar, firmly packed
5 Eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla extract
8 oz. (1-7/8 cups) All purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick)
8 oz. (2-5/8 cups) Quick-cooking oats
6 oz. (1 cup) Semi-sweet chocolate chips
14 oz. (2 cups) Pacific Northwest Canned Pear Slices, drained

METHOD
Beat butter or margarine and sugar until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla, until blended. Beat in baking mix and oats until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Fold in pears. Spread mixture evenly in a greased 12" x 20" x 1" sheet pan. Bake at 325ºF until lightly browned and center is just firm to the touch, about 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2" x 2" squares (6 x 9).
