PEAR ORZO WITH PARMESAN
Yield: 24 Servings (1/2 Cup Each)

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs. 4 oz. Dried orzo pasta
6 cloves Garlic, chopped
2 oz. Butter
2/3 cup Whipping cream
2 lbs. 4 oz. Pacific Northwest Canned Pears, diced, drained
7-1/2 oz. (2-1/2 cups) Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup Parsley, fresh, chopped
As needed Salt
As needed Black pepper, coarsely ground

METHOD
Cook orzo in salted, boiling water until firm-tender; drain well. Sauté pasta and garlic in butter until pasta is well-coated and garlic aromatic, about 3 minutes. Stir in cream and pears; heat. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan and parsley. Season generously with pepper, then salt as necessary. Keep warm or cool and reheat per order.
