WHY THE BARTLETT PEAR?

Bartlett trees bear more-and better quality-fruit on a regular basis than other varieties. Consumers especially enjoy the superior flavor and texture of the Bartlett pear. The Bartlett holds up particularly well during the canning and storing processes, so this delicious fruit can be enjoyed all year round. More than any other canned fruit, Bartlett pears retain their natural flavor, texture and color.

IMPRESSED? WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR THESE FIGURES!

Bartlett pear orchards cover roughly three-quarters of America's pear-producing acreage. The production for Pacific Northwest Bartlett pears currently exceeds 220,000 tons annually, based upon a 5-year average. Of that number, the vast majority, 150,000 tons, or about 70%, is sent to canneries for processing.
